Welcome to my blog! Thank you for stopping by.
Along with my love for writing, I adore stumbling upon worn-out, broken, and thrown away pieces of junk. I see the beauty that lies within and I can’t wait to get my hands on them to make them beautiful once again. My old house is full of these sorts of treasures and a reflection of this passion.
To look past the outward appearance of something does wonders for my spirit. You see, I too, was once a broken mess. I felt useless, discarded and overlooked until the day I encountered the overwhelming love of Jesus Christ. He graciously spared me from a life full of shame, guilt and despair. He lifted me out of the pit, healed my broken heart, set me free and gifted me with a Kingdom purpose.
Jesus generously and creatively gives new life in exchange for the old and sees the beauty that may be hidden to the world. As I mimic His technique with objects I may discover in a pile overlooked, gems of beauty are revealed to me and I feel partnered with Jesus, my Rescuer, who salvaged my life and made it beautiful.
As He gives me opportunity, one of my greatest joys is detecting beauty in people and helping them discover the richness they have been fashioned with. It is out of this heart that I write to you, with hopes to encourage each other.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Ecclesiastes 3:11
